There will be 2 sessions coming up to review what is in the proposed collective agreement
- Monday May 3rd (Info session only): This will be a detailed information session held by QPAT for those who would like the full details of the agreement.
- Thursday May 6th (General Info and Vote): This will be a general overview of the proposed agreement, a question period, followed by a vote on whether to accept the agreement or not.

Negotiations are around the corner and the timing could not be better. The Quebec government has a significant budgetary surplus. So, when Premier Legault declares, “to respect our election promises, which we will, there is no leeway left. The surpluses belong to Quebecers, they don’t belong to unions, they don’t belong to pressure groups,” I guess he doesn’t realize that unions represent thousands of Quebecers and that public sector workers contribute to the welfare of all Quebecers. Shameful! Besides, the surplus was obtained through austerity measures that fell on the backs of public sector workers. Watch the Press Conference from October 18, 2019. |
